Cats are no Rats!

One fast Cat

Hello Cats!

While surfing the web I came across this brand new cat fitness device: One Fast Cat.

Basically, it’s a spinning wheel that helps indoor cats keep in shape: the cat gets into the wheel and starts running like hell – a bit like that stuff humans do during a gym treadmill workout.

At first I thought it was a real cool thing, wow! But then, if you come to think of it … no, no way!

The thing is that it reminded me of something I had already seen somewhere. And that thing is a RAT WHEEL! Yes, there you go, a rat wheel. Do these guys at One Fast Cat think we are like hamsters or what?

Just to make my point clear: what do these two pictures have in common?

The answer is nothing: one is a cat, the other is a hamster. So please don’t treat us like rats: Cats are no Rats, thanks you!

This is a Cat Hamster Wikipedia

Let me give you a few quotes I took from the One Fast Cat website:

“There have been more and more tests showing that cats kept inside can become bored and develop cat depression and other psychological problems.”

I’m a happily fat indoor cat and on behalf of all the happily fat indoor cats let me say that we are not bored, depressed or going psyco, we are just fluffy lazy. And we love being fluffy lazy. Please redo whatever tests you did.

“These issues can present themselves in many ways such as destroying furniture or not using litter boxes.”

Well, personally I love destroying furniture. And speaking of litter box let me say indoor cats perfectly know how to use it: if we don’t use it, it is because we don’t want to use it.

“In field testing our cat wheel has proven to not only enhance the physical well-being of our cats but altered their disposition to be more relaxed and calm.”

Believe me, after being in the spinning wheel the cat is not more relaxed and calm, he’s just dizzy. I hope he throws up on the moquette or on your favorite carpet.

Hey Cats, if you want to learn more have a look at the One Fast Cat Video tutorial and let me have your thoughts. As far as I’m concerned, I’ll keep sleeping, loafing, stuffing myself with food and … destroying furniture.
